We have arranged to move the household from an apartment in the city to a rather large house somewhat outside. It’s reasonably close to where I work, very close to some of our friends, more convenient overall really and since downtown is more or less just the haunt of university students I don’t think I’ll miss it much.
More important to me at the moment is room for the music studio and the servers, and just a general increase in elbow room for the three of us.
SPLF was honestly a disappointment. The most interesting people there turned out to be people we already knew. It confirmed more than anything my feeling that the scene in the southwest is just too bourgeois for my taste. Not that there’s much in the way of an alternative. mitda needs the social life unfortunately more than emmie and I and that strains things somewhat.
We’ll have to see how things go …
