Viscous Lidocaine: grins and abounding giggling: “

Yep, I’ll be wearing one of these along with my love Orange Magritte. Tg for annullment. I was never married to the vampire as far as the law goes. Pure ecstasy, and I don’t mean MDMA. .

11/15/05 – Oracle Selects the Solaris 10 Operating System as Its Preferred Open Source 64-bit Development and Deployment Environment:

“‘Oracle has long viewed the Solaris OS as an important foundation for
Oracle applications, but this announcement takes that one step further.
With Solaris 10 Sun has delivered an open source, cross-platform OS. And,
it’s impossible to ignore the significant market opportunity created by the
incredible growth of Solaris 10 along with Sun’s industry-standard x64 and
UltraSPARC-based systems. Solaris was the clear choice for our development
platform,’ said Larry Ellison, CEO, Oracle.”

“Solaris is a better Linux than Linux” – Marc Andreessen

Worth checking the results on Linux vs. Solaris cost effectiveness. Solaris comes way out on top. BTW Marc Andreessen is pretty much responsible for the invention of the WWW, having designed the first browser, Mosaic, and founded Netscape.

EFF: Bloggers

The link in the last post had info on how to help the EFF and post nice buttons, but didn’t say what they actually are DOING for bloggers. My bad. Here’s a better link for that.

EFF: Help EFF Help You!

Yes, soapbox time, even bloggers need the help of the EFF to preserve electronic freedoms. Let’s face it, the military created ARPANET to be anonymous and open, released it to the public, and since then every govt and corporation has wanted to close it and monitor it, while profiting from its low cost. Humph, let’s protect the ‘net from spies and moneymakers.
