Viscous Lidocaine: “why i am not a ‘xian’.”

I too consider myself a ‘Post-Christian’. Not because I disown Christianity, any more than the postmodern disowns the modern. But because I have found a relevance for myself in something different, something other, and the relevance of Christianity has fallen away Christianity still exists of course, there are pockets of true faith here and there even, but Christendom is a thing of the past.

It started for me in a refusal by the divine in its specifically xian form. A refusal to allow me to participate in that form of faith; an insight that another knowledge was to be given. Not just to me of course, and not because of any special abilities or talents on my part, simply because I was there and understood my thereness.
